Spinmagiic (storm)
Growing up in the dallas area, there was a lot of music and musicians floating around. There was an area in Dallas called Deep Ellum, and it was an old jazz club area from the 40's. Artists, Composers, DJ's, Soundpeople, Technicians for shows were all there and very encouraging for new people to get started in Music. Therefore, in the summer of 1985, Storm started a journey through Industrial Dance Music. Buying some used Pioneer tables and a Vestax mixer, he learned and watched. In late 1985, stormy got his first Residency in the Deep Ellum area, a very european disco type club in a large warehouse.
A few years later after playing sets in between Touring National DJ's, stormy was asked to join a then very small group called Global Entertainment. From that came his first national tour, going to places like Washington DC (the Wharf), Tennessee (Freedom Hall), Georgia (Masquerade), just to mention a few. In 1997, stormy got interested in some trance by an artist named Sasha. In 1998, he was playing trance instead of IDM. One year later, someone gives him some Goa. Life would never be the same.
In 2001, Stormy dissolved all recording contracts due the fact his Label "didnt think psytrance was going anywhere, and we wont fail with it." Since that time, Stormy built what is now Storm Southwest Productions.

From a 1200 foot warehouse he made a sound studio, worked gigs non stop to pay for equipment and started to get serious into getting out this "new" style of music and also to prove to the "Label" they made a mistake. Now SSW is a fully equipped modern multi studio. Ascending Grooves, (stormys private label) was fortunate enough to sell 8500 cds on its first release. The rest is history.
In 2003 Stormy was invited to play on local radio stations and indroduce Dallas to the world of psytrance.The response was mixed, but, out of the blue comes a club owner that offers a residence. Again, hes off to show other people what the scene is like.
Now Stormy is involved in teaching people to play music, compose music, produce music, and promote it. With 20 years on the Club Circuit, he will pass his skills on to apprentices that choose this style.
